And so being lucky, they grew to their heart's content.
There is one that had a little second potato growing on its front - resembled a nose on a face.
This potato is bigger than the palm of my hand!
In fact, I have kept them so well in a brown paper bag in a dark dry cupboard, that there should be homegrown potatoes on the Christmas dinner table for the first time in my life ! Now I just have to plan the (vegetarian) rest for the 25th....
Altogether, grown this year in the garden was: spinach, pak choi, traffic light chard (no yellow or red yet though!), rocket...
Salad is so wonderfully easy and satisfying to grow. Plucking it from its pot and eating it there and then is unbeatable.
